Derrick Davis
About me
I'm excited to be a part of the Legal and Community Advocacy team this summer as a Legal Intern. I've been a dedicated user of Wikimedia sites for quite some time, but I hope to use this summer to become a more active contributor to the community. I'm broadly interested in law, technology, and education and I enjoy playing basketball in my free time. I've earned my undergraduate degree from Stanford University and I'm currently a student at Harvard Law School.
My work
In my role, I support the Office of the General Counsel as we address all legal matters related to the Foundation and its projects. For legal ethical reasons I (as well as the rest of the legal team) can only represent the Wikimedia Foundation and cannot be the attorney for the community or chapters, though the legal team often provides strong support to the community in many ways consistent with the Foundation goals.
