James Owen has been Executive Assistant to the Executive and Deputy Directors of the Wikimedia Foundation since March 2009. His position also holds responsibilities for managing and coordinating with the Foundation's Board of Trustees, and Advisory Board.

Prior to joining the Foundation, James worked with a variety of small and large non-profit organizations, including most recently the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
