Greetings! This is the user page of Kat Walsh from Herndon, Virginia (just outside Washington, DC), currently a member of the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees. I am also known on most Wikimedia projects as "Mindspillage"; you can see my primary user page on the English Wikipedia.

I am currently finishing a JD at George Mason University School of Law, where my primary interests are technology policy, internet law, copyrights, patents, trademarks, and law and economics; I am also a classical bassoonist and violist, with a degree in music from Stetson University.

Press and communications

I am a member of Wikimedia's Communications Committee as well as a press contact, primarily for the US East Coast. I am happy to do interviews by email, phone, IRC, or in person; I am also available for conference and workshop presentations. You may reach me by email or through the Wikimedia press team.

Projects

My primary project involvement is on the English Wikipedia, where I was previously on the Arbitration Committee, am an administrator, and have contributed dozens of articles.
