About me

I first worked as an Associate Community Officer for the Wikimedia Foundation's 2010 annual fundraiser in October 2010. I joined the Foundation as full-time staff in August 2011 as a Production Coordinator for the 2011 fundraiser. In February 2012, I was promoted to Fundraiser Production Manager. After the successful completion of the 2012 fundraiser, I decided that it was time for a break from fundraising and moved into features engineering, working on Admin Tools.

Outside Wikimedia, I have a background in Computer Science and Information Security and have worked as a technology consultant in the for-profit sector in the United States. I graduated from the University of Tulsa with a B.S. in Computer Science in May 2011 where I did research into information assurance policies and redaction of sensitive information from various media.

My work

The Admin Tools team works on feature development and bugfixes on tools for stewards and local power-users including the AbuseFilter, CentralAuth and CheckUser extensions among others.
