About me

I am long time volunteer in the Wikimedia community. From 2011 to 2014 I was Product Manager Language Engineering at the Wikimedia Foundation. I was born in 1972 and live in the Netherlands.

My work

I'm Community Manager at translatewiki.net, where I try to support volunteer translators to translate Free and Open Source Software as well, easily and efficiently as possible. I am also a contractor for the Wikimedia Foundation. I review internationalisation and localisation related code, and I can help you understand i18n/L10n better if you need to. Please do read i18n first. I am easily findable and am willing to help you in whatever way I can. I can be found on irc.freenode.net in the channels #mediawiki-i18n, #mediawiki and #wikimedia-dev. You can best reach me at translatewiki.net, the MediaWiki localisation project. Please address me in English, Dutch or German and allow me to reply in English when you choose to talk to me in German.
