About me

I am a Wikimedian from Dhaka, Bangladesh and have been around for about 3 years (started in June 17, 2009). I started contributing with my volunteer account and under that I hold administrator and bureaucrat rights in many Wikimedia project sites and a global steward flag. I usually work on Bangla Wikipedia and Wiktionary, Commons, and Meta-Wiki and I consider all of them as my primary wikis, but my home wiki is Bangla Wikipedia.

Other than my on-wiki activities, I am also associated with Wikimedia Bangladesh, an approved Wikimedia chapter that focuses on spreading Wikimedia movement in all over Bangladesh. I helped created this chapter and in my volunteer capacity, I serve as a founding member and secretary of this chapter, as well as one of the two chapter contacts.

My work

As a fellow I am currently working on Small Wiki Editor Engagement Project, focusing on Bangla Wikipedia. My current work goals include increasing editor retention rate in small Wikipedias as well as attracting new editors by developing a basic and more welcoming editing interface and helping system specially for small Wikimedia projects.
