Our largest project by far is Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Started in January 2001, it reached three million articles in over 125 languages in early 2006.

As of May 2006, Wikipedia has become one of the 20 most popular websites in the world (source: Alexa Internet analysis of Wikipedia traffic); and the Wikimedia servers in Florida, Amsterdam and Paris have to deal with over 4000 requests per second and 200 Mbps of traffic.

You can access statistics for all projects from the project's statistics page (select project on the right) or view the usage per country and per project.
