2008年の十のねがい

みなさま、

私の国や（全部がというのではないのですが）多くの国で、本日が新年の最初の日であります。まず、いつものように、[[願い]]をお聞かせしたいとおもいます。みなさまのご健康と、ご幸運をお祈りしますとともに、みなさまの毎日が楽しいものでありますように。

つづいて、ウィキメディアにまつわるいくつかのねがいを共有したく思います。

財団について

ウィキメディア財団 (Wikimedia Foundation, Inc.) は米国フロリダ州の非営利団体です。無料で公開されたウィキを利用したプロジェクトにより、多言語でのフリーコンテンツの作成、開発、配布を国際的に行っています。ウィキメディア財団はそうして集めた知識を世界中の人々に無料で提供する事を目標としており、寄付によって運営されています。プロジェクトの中には世界で最も頻繁にアクセスされるサイトの20位以内に入るウィキペディアが含まれます。

ウィキメディア財団は、ユーザからの支援により運営されています。本日、ご支援をご検討いただければ幸いです。時間、金銭、ハードウェアをご提供ください。Benefactorsのページ（英文）では、ウィキメディア・プロジェクトをご支援くださっている企業や個人の若干をご紹介しています。ただしウィキメディア財団は必ずしもこれら支援してくださる企業の活動を推奨するものではありません。

理事会

理事会は定款が定める財団の最高議決機関です。定款の全文（英文）はこのサイトでご覧いただけます。理事会は各種方針を定め、財団の活動を指導します。
