This proposal failed to gain Board support. Therefore, this is not a Wikimedia Foundation resolution.
This is a partial resolution (full resolution not public), which failed a vote on 5 February 2006 (4 oppose, 1 abstention).

  1. The Board authorizes the creation of a finance committee.
  2. The existence of a grants sub-committee shall be determined by the Board in consultation with other committees. At this stage, grants will not form a sub-committee of finance.
