The Wikimedia Foundation is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the Communications department, reporting to the Senior Program Manager. As a Senior Project Manager in the Communications department, you will liaise regularly with and across several creative teams, acting as a strategic partner to writers, designers, marketers, and movement communications specialists. Our work often touches upon different departments across the Foundation with varying degrees of interdependencies. Part of your role will be to manage project plans, define schedules, lead meetings, track progress, schedule and facilitate cross-team and cross-departmental projects, support our collective work, and help us to explore possible futures.

Join the Wikimedia Foundation in our ambitious project to empower people to create and share the sum of all human knowledge. We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst (or Sr. Finance Business Partner) to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Finance. As the Sr. Financial Analyst, you will be the primary point of contact for our legal and other departments within the Foundation. You will develop an in-depth understanding of the investment programs of the departments that you support to provide analytical insight into the financial data for different managers and program owners.
We are looking for a Sr. Program Manager to help the Foundation improve our overall performance and become a model for strategic & operational planning and monitoring of those plans. This position will report to the Director of Financial Planning, and directly support Foundation´s cross-functional Planning team. Working with the Planning team, Sr. Program Manager will coordinate all aspects of the Foundation’s core strategic process: annual planning and quarterly monitoring cycles. The Sr. Program Manager will help the Planning team design process improvements to our planning and monitoring cycles and activities, and lead the implementation of those improvements. In addition, the Sr. Program Manager will be responsible for supporting the change management and internal communication to leadership and the wider Foundation.
The Wikimedia Foundation is seeking a Community Facilitator fluent in any Serbo-Croat-Bosnian variant to support multiple programs from the Movement Strategy and Governance team. This Community Facilitator will promote volunteers’ and affiliates’ participation in the Movement Strategy, Board elections, and programs like the Universal Code of Conduct. We seek a Lead Program Manager to serve as the “chief operating officer” for the Global Advocacy team. Reporting to the VP for Global Advocacy within the Wikimedia Foundation’s Legal Department, our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with experience running programs or organizations at the intersection of technology, human rights, and open knowledge. You will help us manage rapid team expansion, drive strategic planning, track and evaluate impact, support the VP in managing our budget and resources, and help the team set appropriately ambitious yet realistic goals. You will help us improve systems and processes to manage our work with other teams and departments, improve our coordination of advocacy campaigns with affiliates and volunteers across our global community, and refine our approaches to collaborating effectively with external partners.

The Technology Law and Policy Fellow position is designed for a lawyer or other individual who typically has up to two years of legal or public policy experience and is passionate about free knowledge and the open internet. This position provides an immersive in-house experience with specific education and mentorship in the areas of Internet regulation and technology law and the operations of the Wikimedia Foundation (WMF, the not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the creation and sharing of free knowledge and maintaining Wikipedia and its sister projects).

The Wikimedia Foundation is looking for a Graph Engineer Consultant to support our team, reporting to the Engineering Manager, Search Platform. As the Graph Engineer Consultant, you will be responsible for defining a transition strategy for migrating Wikidata Query Service (WDQS) from Blazegraph to a different RDF store and executing this transition. Your work will include understanding and documenting the current state, its limitations and the needs of a future solution in accordance with the needs of the Wikidata community and the engineering constraints identified.

As the Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the platforms and services of the Search Platform team. In this role, you will maintain, upgrade and scale our Elasticsearch clusters, our RDF Graph endpoint and their supporting data infrastructure.
As a Test Engineer (TE), you are the testing heart of the development team that you work with. You look to ensure that the development team has a sound testing strategy and is following effective testing methodologies. You work with engineering managers and product managers to ensure that testing is included in development plans and that the Quality and Test Engineering team is also planning accordingly. You provide a clear and concise view of the results of the testing activities.
