Each year, the Wikimedia Foundation publishes its Annual Report, a summary of its program activities, milestones and accomplishments of the past fiscal year.

2008–2009

The 2008–2009 Annual report covers the previous fiscal year (July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009) with a look-ahead to the 2009–2010 fiscal year. This is the Foundation's second annual report.

Highlights include:

• Launch of Wikimedia's Usability Initiative
• Wikimedia joins the Creative Commons
• Launch of Wikimedia's open strategy planning process
• Successful fundraising and expansion of core operations
