In January 2014, the introduction to the Bylaws were updated to reflect the broadening of recognized entities in the movement:

As of 2007: In coordination with a network of chapters and individual volunteers, the Foundation provides the essential infrastructure and an organizational framework for the support and development of multilingual wiki projects and other endeavors which serve this mission.

As of 2014: In coordination with a network of individual volunteers and our independent movement organizations, including recognized Chapters, Thematic Organizations, User Groups, and Partners, the Foundation provides the essential infrastructure and an organizational framework for the support and development of multilingual wiki projects and other endeavors which serve this mission.

The mission statement should be similarly updated. We need to decide how to do that; it doesn't legally have to be revised by the Board in the same way, but has traditionally involved a community discussion. SJ + 17:27, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The bylaws haven't been publicly updated. I'm not sure what changes you're referring to. --MZMcBride (talk) 03:56, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
