Gayle Karen Young is a cultural architect and developmental catalyst. Currently serving as Chief Culture and Talent Officer at the Wikimedia Foundation, Gayle has a rich background in organizational consulting to diverse corporate and nonprofit clients. Her unique skill-set has positioned her at the interface between individuals and the systems within which they work, and enables her to foster the development of both. Her mission is to create dynamic organizational cultures in which people can thrive and, in turn, make greater contribution.

My work

In the role of Chief Talent and Culture Officer for the Wikimedia Foundation, my job is to support the building of a healthy organization that can support our mission and vision. I'm accountable for recruiting and hiring, onboarding new employees, contractor relationships, leadership development, organization development, compensation and benefits, and other human resource services.
