About me
I come to Wikimedia from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Canada's national public broadcaster where I worked in issues management and media relations. At CBC I was spent a lot of time talking to journalists, designing and executing PR and social media strategies, and drafting research briefs on emerging media and technology trends.
Pre 2006 I worked in communications for various departments of the Canadian government including Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, Health Canada, the Department of National Defence, and the Department of Justice. And before that I headed up communications at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Back in Canada I was really actively involved with the Friends for Life Bike Rally (hey, a red link!).
