Greetings! This is the user page of Kat Walsh from Herndon, Virginia (just outside Washington, DC), currently a member of the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees. I am also known on most Wikimedia projects as "Mindspillage"; you can see my primary user page on the English Wikipedia.

I am currently studying at George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia, focusing on technology and IP law; I am also a classical bassoonist, with a degree in music from Stetson University.

Press and communications

I am a member of Wikimedia's Communications Committee, where I answer mail and coordinate the volunteers answering email. I am also a press contact, primarily for the US East Coast; I am happy to do interviews by email, phone, IRC, or in person, and to give presentations. Projects

My primary project involvement is on the English Wikipedia, where I was previously on the Arbitration Committee, am an administrator, and have contributed dozens of articles on classical music. I am also an administrator and an accredited reporter for the English Wikinews, and an administrator on the Meta wiki.
