About me

I joined the Wikimedia Foundation in 2010 as a research fellow to study the history of the Russian Wikipedia. I co-managed the 2011 Wikimedia Summer of Research and became a staff member in fall of 2011. In May 2012 I joined the Editor engagement experiments (E3) team. I was a product manager in our mobile team and for Flow. Left the WMF in April 2015.

When I'm not working for Wikimedia, I'm editing Wikipedia as a volunteer. When I'm not doing that, you'll probably find me riding around Berkeley on my motorcycle.

My work

I'm part of the Editor Engagement Experiments team, which focuses on small, rapid experiments designed to engage readers and editors in Wikimedia projects.

Disclaimer: I work for the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I intend to use for edits or statements I make in that role. However, the Foundation does not vet all my activity, so edits, statements, or other contributions made by this account may not reflect the views of the Foundation.
