Hi, My name is Rob Halsell, and I am the IT Manager and one of the Systems Administrators for the Wikimedia Foundation.

I have been asked on occasion how to pronounce my surname. It is pronounced easily by breaking up the name into the words hall & sell: hôl sel

I have worked for the Foundation since December 2006. I work with our Technical Team to maintain the servers and software that partly make Wikipedia possible. (I say partly, because servers and software are supporting Wikipedia, not making it possible.) I am based out of Tampa, FL, USA.

My professional blog is located at http://blog.robhalsell.com. I update it on a fairly regular basis to show what different software issues and projects I am working on. Wikimedia related posts also show up on Planet Wikimedia as well.
