About me

I have been a Legal Fellow at the Wikimedia Foundation since August 2016. I am a licensed Advocate in India (Bar Council of Delhi) and worked with a large Indian law firm prior to joining the Foundation. I am a graduate of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and spent the summer of 2015 at the Berkman Center working on intellectual property and free speech issues.

I enjoy working on the legal, regulatory, and public policy issues at the intersection of the law and emerging technology. Things I especially find interesting include privacy, surveillance, search and seizure, and cyber security. I've been published on topics ranging from copyright trolls and symbolic expression to cybersecurity and digital evidence (although I've grown disillusioned with paywalled academic journals of late and focus on mainstream media). You can read more about my publications and background on my LinkedIn page..

When I am not lawyering, I am probably watching a Liverpool F.C. game or catching up on the latest happenings in tech.

My work

I work with the legal team on a variety of legal and public policy issues ranging from intermediary liability and copyright to privacy and disputes.
