Hi Tom. Welcome to the Wikimedia Foundation website and thanks for agreeing to help here.

This wiki does not exactly follow the same rules as the other Wikimedia projects, since it is not open to all for editing, and in case of disagreement, the organ of decision will be the Board. A rule of thumb however is that if we gave you access, that means we trust you. So please, do not be shy in editing this site. There is ample work for everyone :-)

If you make any major edit which you feel could be controversial or incorrect, please list the page at Wikimedia:Edits to confirm. If you are able to help with translation, please see m:Translation requests. All organisational pages may be found in the meta category. Angela 17:11, 23 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Hi there - See User talk:Tom-/Fundraising/USD/monthly --Daniel Mayer 18:31, 23 Sep 2004 (UTC)

I took a look and would like to start to incorporate many of your suggested changes this weekend. But a good deal of care needs to be taken to make sure that translation work is minimized. --Daniel Mayer

Hey Tom - I haven't forgot you and will take a closer look at what could be incorporated now vs what needs to wait for the end of the fund drive. --Daniel Mayer

Hm. It looks like both your version and my version still have HTML and translations duplicated (with yours having less duplication). If we are going to be making changes, then I think we should do this right and get rid of all the duplication. We also need to absolutely minimize the amount of work that translators will have to do. If it were not for that point and the fact that we are currently in a fund drive, then I'd say we could just go ahead with your version since it is an improvement on my version. I would like to spend several hours on this issue after the fund drive is over. But for now I'd like to leave well-enough alone as far as the live version is concerned (cosmetic changes welcome so long as they do not break translations or require updating template referral code on many pages). --Daniel Mayer 05:58, 27 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Do you think it'd be ok to have my new form put live in English for now, and leave other languages alone? I doubt many users are ever going to see forms in different languages to compare, and I could just make new templates which don't affect the old ones. Tom- 12:54, 27 Sep 2004 (UTC)
That will confuse translators and create an inconsistant mess I'm afraid. Let's just wait until we have something that we both will be very confident that will not need to be changed in a very long time. --Daniel Mayer 17:06, 27 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Proposed deletions

Hi. I'm working on cleaning up this wiki a bit. I've proposed the following pages for deletion. I'm notifying you as you're listed in the page history. Without objection, the pages listed below will be deleted in about a month. Thanks for all of your work here. Thehelpfulone 18:53, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
