Hi, it's nice to see you here, and congrats for launching Zh Wikinews. Though I wasn't so helpful, but you wouldn't mind me sharing happiness to see its realization now.

By the way, have you also interest in Wikimania which will be held in USA in this summer? If so, please give a look to meta:Wikimania and its translation requests. Thanks for your attention and happy editing. --Aphaea 10:24, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Taipei won

Congrats! And thank you for your updating. I would like you to know we currently *do not* request for translation of this news. Why? There are some other pieces of news we would like to inform folks and also to translate, and I thought it would be nice to call for translators after all items are ready to translate; Board Election, other regional conferences & chapter meeting, Board member activity, and so on. Thank you for your understanding. --Aphaea 04:23, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Vipuser! Thanks for updating Template:News-en with Wikimania's announcement (and congrats to Taipei!). I'm not sure, though, that it's still standard to put the username of the person who updated the box next to the date - I know this was done some time ago, but none of the other news items have that, so I went ahead and removed it for the sake of consistency. Thanks! Flcelloguy 23:45, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
