About me

As a journalist I worked for The Wall Street Journal, The Charlotte Observer, The Cleveland Plain Dealer and The European Stars & Stripes. I covered the Wikimedia Foundation for The Journal, and am a cited source for the Wikipedia article on Wikipedia. I'm also, oddly enough, the top source for the Wikipedia article on "Eskimo kissing." In the realm of social media, I studied that free-flowing world on a Knight fellowship at Stanford University, worked for the social new startup Storify, and led social media for the largest newsroom in Northern California at The San Francisco Chronicle. At one point, my Vine video of a dog riding a scooter was one of the most-liked ever.

My work

I lead social media for the WMF, starting with our two flagship accounts on Facebook and Twitter. I also manager our blog. We would love to connect with you on or about our social media.
