* Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred
* 7+ years of fundraising experience, ideally with a large high-profile international organization
* Experience managing databases from a user (non-technical) perspective
* Good general understanding of donation streams including emerging trends
* Excellent writing skills particularly including the ability to explain and summarize
* Ability to evaluate, analyze and prioritize; self-motivated and independent
* Good technical literacy from a user perspective: comfortable using various tools such as wikis, mailing lists and blogging software;
* Experience with web-based research tools such as the Foundation Directory Online and Lexis-Nexis for Development Professionals;
* Experience using CiviCRM open-source donor management software is a major plus;
* The ability to speak multiple languages is a major plus;
* Experience living or working outside the United States is a major plus.
