In response to this question from Pine on Wikimedia-l: The Florida statute for nonprofit organizations does not require attendance at a board meeting before allowing a trustee to vote on the minutes of the meeting. There is no statutory requirement for recusal in these circumstances. This is especially true when the meeting is an IRC chat and the dialogue is completely recorded for the absent trustee to review.
