We didn't vote on specific language of a resolution, so I removed the narrative sentence. While the majority of changes were to improve compliance with laws, we also made changes to clarify procedures that did not conflict with any applicable laws, and we defined staff officer roles and delegated some current officer tasks to staff as a result.
The original sentence as:
- "The updated Bylaws are being adopted to ensure the Foundation's continued compliance with applicable laws and to further clarify certain procedural matters."
If we want to offer a high-level summary of the changes, I would amend this to read something like:
- "These revisions are being made to ensure the Foundation's continued compliance with applicable laws, to clarify its procedures, and to define staff officer roles."
