Talk:Our projects
"to allow third-party users to freely reuse the data available, unlike other Wikimedia projects."
I think we should be a bit more careful with the use of the word "freely". Technically all the Creative Commons licenses are considered "free" content licenses, despite the attribution requirement, so I don't think it is good to say "unlike".
I'm not sure if there's a better wording, though. What is true is that CC-0 is less restrictive than the other licenses.--Jasper Deng (talk) 07:15, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
"Labs" rebranding
The project formerly known as Wikimedia Labs has been rebranded as Wikimedia Cloud Services. I would suggest the following replacement for the current Wikimedia Labs section:
LabsWikimedia Labs Wikimedia Cloud Services
"Freely re-use" and Wikidata
I think one could mistakenly infer that the rest of our content is not free from that statement, which is not true. The problem I guess is that all of our content is free, but some is more free than others.
- I changed that prose to "freely reuse with no restrictions", which is still not ideal at conveying that our other content can also be reused, but it is at least a step in the right direction. --Deskana (WMF) (talk) 11:16, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
