About me

I'm a lawyer and ex-programmer. I've spent my entire adult life doing peer production of various sorts, including hacking Lego robots, debugging Linux desktops, and revising the Mozilla Public License. Now I help out at Wikimedia. You can find more about me at w:Luis Villa and http://lu.is/.

Personal/for-fun edits are mostly at w:User:LuisVilla.

My work

I help protect and enable Wikimedia's users and staff. Particular areas of interest include licensing, software development, privacy, and contracts.

Disclaimer: I work for or provide services to the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I try to use for edits or statements I make in that role.
