| about me = Marti is a native Californian who grew up on her grandparents' dairy farm in northern San Luis Obispo county. After majoring in English literature, she worked for ten years helping farmers and ranchers improve the ecological value of agricultural lands. Working in a politically polarized region, she specialized in developing meaningful collaboration among diverse stakeholders. She became a fan of the Wikimedia Foundation when she discovered MediaWiki software, which she used extensively to support open communication, innovation and resource-sharing in her region. |
