Rob Halsell is the Wikimedia Foundation's IT Manager, and one of the system administrators.
I have been asked on occasion how to pronounce my surname. It is pronounced easily by breaking up the name into the words "hall" and "sell": hôl sel.
I have worked for the Foundation since December 2006. I work with our technical team to maintain the servers and software that partly make Wikipedia possible. (I say partly, because servers and software are supporting Wikipedia, not making it possible.) I am based out of Tampa, FL, USA.
