Jeremy, I would like to notice you I reverted your edit on Wikimedia needs your help, since you turned it into redirect without fixing over 30 links to that page, its different language versions.
Generally I agree with your idea. It makes a sense because we would like to have visitors focus on the latest begging letter now. However if that was your intention, I think it makes less sense to leave other language versions, specially languages which lack the current one. We are better to leave them as a whole or turn them all into redirect to an appropriate page.
