Minimizing raw HTML

I'd really like to minimize the use of raw HTML. This can surely be achieved through other means (if it should be achieved at all...). Change the image syntax from "thumb" to something else? Using "thumb" and then hiding the border seems a bit silly. A bit more on raw HTML here, by the way. --MZMcBride 02:39, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
