About me My professional background is in technology and development and I have been working in the nonprofit sector for about five years, though I am educated as a classical musician and music theorist. I was educated at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois where I received a Bachelor of Music in piano performance, and where I also studied Classics. I've lived in California (United States), Illinois (United States), Albania, and Iceland, and coordinated volunteer projects in each of these locations. I speak fluent Albanian, am a native English speaker, and can get by in a number of other European languages with limited fluency. I have two passions in my professional life: wikis and helping amazing volunteers create a better world, and so Wikimedia Foundation is the perfect place for me. I feel privileged to work with our community and to support the work of such a smart, innovative, and dedicated group of people.

My work I'm Winifred Olliff, Grants Administrator at Wikimedia Foundation. I work on the following programs: WMF Grants Program (a program that funds projects aligned with WMF's mission through grants) Funds Dissemination Committee (the FDC makes recommendations to the WMF Board of Trustees for how to disseminate movement funds) Participation Support (a joint program of WMF and WMDE that reimburses volunteers for travel expenses in order to facilitate participation in mission-aligned activities) Other volunteer support programs (as they arise and develop) I lead the development of administrative processes related to each of these programs, keep them running efficiently, and am also involved with the development of each program.
