Join us for a cocktail reception with Jimmy Wales, Wikipedia Founder, Katherine Maher, Wikimedia Foundation Executive Director, Sir Nigel Shadbolt, and special guests for a conversation on the independence, impact, and longevity of Wikipedia and the free knowledge movement.
Event hosts include: Maran Elancheran, Janet Anne Royall, Baroness Royall of Blaisdon, and Peter Baldwin.
These in-person events are special. They are fun. And they are unique. This year, our London event is the only one outside the United States.
Wikipedia Founder Jimmy Wales will be there. So will Katherine Maher, our Executive Director. And so, we hope, will you.
You'll be in good company as you share laughs, drinks, and conversations with people who care deeply about Wikipedia and want to support its independence, impact, and longevity.

The theme of this year's event is Facts Matter. Some people say that facts are "subjective" in today's online media environment. But we believe that Wikipedia -- and its foundation in facts -- is more important than ever. Despite global upheavals, Wikipedia continues to be one of the world's most popular websites. And that's because at the end of the day, people share a common thirst for high-quality, neutral information. We're proud to offer a place where people of all backgrounds and ideologies can come to think, learn, and find neutral ground together. And we are proud to be sustained by generous supporters, like yourself, who keep us online and ad-free.
