This portal provides documentation related to the institutional knowledge of the Wikimedia Foundation preserved through the Wikimedia Foundation Memory Bank initiative. Institutional knowledge encompasses the story, learnings, and events related to the Wikimedia Foundation's past.
While this portal includes elements of the story of the overall Wikimedia movement as they relate to the Foundation, this effort is specific to the Wikimedia Foundation itself. Please visit the Wikimedia history portal on Meta-Wiki for additional information on other areas of the Wikimedia movement.

- Initial development of Wikimedia Foundation Timeline
- Development of this portal
- Collecting Wikimedia Foundation stories from individuals
- Adding entries to Wikidata related to Wikimedia Foundation's past
- Developing a wiki utilizing Wikibase to document and track assets and data points specific to documentation of the Wikimedia Foundation's past
