About me
My academic training in Social Psychology includes emphasis in the areas of Aging; Gender and Sexuality; Group Dynamics; Cultural Psychology; Prejudice and Discrimination; and Applied Social Research. I have advanced training and experience in Research Design, Methods, and Analysis. I have always had the goal of building more fluid connections between the world of academia and the field of practice to build healthier communities throughout the life span. This goal led to my entry into the world of program evaluation and partnership development, a field in which I have acquired skills in group facilitation, needs assessment, strategic planning, data-driven program monitoring, and translational research. For more than ten years, I have gained experience in program evaluation, applying a partnership approach, at multiple stages of programming.
My work
My work with the Program Evaluation and Design Team at the Wikimedia Foundation is centered around facilitating the development of the Wikimedia community of program leaders as a community of learners and program evaluators. Through different strategies our team is working to build program leader capacity in terms of their knowledge and access to tools and resources so that they may evaluate their outreach projects and events across myriad programs conducted by, and for, Wikimedian volunteers world-wide.
