The Wikimedia Foundation will be hiring a part time conference organizer to arrange Wikimania 2006, the second international Wikimedia Conference. The conference will be held in Boston in late July or early August 2006. The applicant should have professional experience in organizing international conferences, be able to work online for most of the year, and have an understanding of the goals of Wikimedia, the aim of this conference, and knowledge of the Wikimedia community. Fluency in English, and a good level of proficiency in at least one other language is required. The position will be full time in the period immediately before the conference and as needed before and after that.
