We are hiring in the following areas:

• Communications Officer - OPEN until September 4, 2009
• Product Manager - Multimedia Usability Project - OPEN until September 4, 2009
• Software Developer - Wikipedia Usability Project - OPEN until August 28, 2009

The Wikimedia Foundation is active around the world. Although these positions are intended to be based in our San Francisco headquarters, we are open to the possibility of a few people working remotely unless otherwise noted in the job posting itself. If you are not currently living in the San Francisco Bay Area, and are not willing to relocate there, please make that clear in your cover letter.

We are also likely to continue to expand our technical team in the coming year. If you are interested in working for us, please review our past Software Developer and System Administrator openings, and send a cover letter and resume to jobswikimedia.org. While we do not have any technology openings right now, we would like to engage in dialog with people who are as passionate as we are.

About the Wikimedia Foundation

The Wikimedia Foundation, Inc. is a US-registered 501(c)(3) tax-deductible non-profit charity dedicated to encouraging the growth, development and distribution of free, multilingual content, and to providing the full content of wiki-based projects to the public free of charge.
