The Wikimedia Foundation has begun to build a global organization structure. The first local chapter was founded in Germany, the second in France.

Germany

Wikimedia Deutschland – Gesellschaft zur Förderung Freien Wissens e.V. (Wikimedia Germany - society for the promotion of free knowledge) is the German chapter of the Wikimedia Foundation, founded 13th of June 2004 in Berlin.

Executive board: Kurt Jansson (chairman), Arne Klempert (vice-chairman), Elisabeth Bauer (secretary), Henriette Fiebig (treasurer)
