Wikipedia is a multilingual project to build free encyclopedias in all languages of the world. The project startet in January 2001 and has nearly reached 1.000.000 articles in about 140 languages. The largest Wikipedia is in English language, followed by German, Japanese and French.


Wiktionary

Wiktionary is a multilingual project to create open content dictionaries and thesauruses in every language. The project started in December 2002 and now in 146 languages. The largest Wiktionary is in English language, followed by Polish, Dutch, Swedish and French.

Wikiquote is a multilingual project to build free- and open-content quotations. The project started in 2004 in English and there are currently about 2,300 articles in 15 languages. The largest Wikiquote in English with over 1500 articles, followed by German, French and Polish.
