About me
I come to Wikimedia with a passion for achieving social impact through strategic grantmaking. Before joining Wikimedia, I worked with foundations focused on supporting sustainable energy policy in China, India, and Europe, enhancing organizational effectiveness and providing programmatic guidance. I enjoy working with teams across the globe to develop strategy, share best practices, and enhance communications. I see my role, both past and present, as supporting the great work of amazing folks around the world. I have spent significant time living and working abroad, including extensive stints in China, India, and Indonesia, and completed a one-year ethnomusicology research fellowship along the Silk Road. I love photography and find inspiration in the natural world.
My work
I work to support Wikimedians around the world, including Wikimedia chapters, thematic organizations, user groups, and individuals through grants and other resources. This means that I work broadly across all of the WMF's funding streams, with a focus on supporting the Program Officers that manage Rapid Grants, Project Grants, and Conference and Event Grants. I have a specific interest in supporting the diversity of the Wikimedia movement and projects, especially in regards to emerging communities and addressing the gender gap. Previously, I was the Program Officer for the Project and Event Grants (PEG) program.
