I was born in Jordan, attended high school in Cyprus, and went to college in the United States, where I earned my B.A. in Finance and Business Administration from San Jose State University. After graduation, I worked in the financial investment field in California before heading back to Jordan, where I helped to set up Columbia University’s newest Global Research Center. I then enhanced trade between the US and the Hashemite Kingdom as the acting CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan. Most recently, I traveled to Asia, Africa, and the Middle East to develop mobile partnerships for Mobile Accord in Washington, D.C.

About me

I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, the most megadiverse country per square kilometer in the world, as well as land of amazing coffee and wonderful people (feel free to ask about my country any time!). I am a Law School graduate of Universidad de los Andes. I've worked for Baker & McKenzie Bogotá's office in IP matters, was a year-round legal intern for WMF (Sep. 2013 - Sep. 2014), and summer legal intern for Creative Commons in 2011. I am passionate about intellectual property reform, access to free knowledge and information, and Internet policy. In my free time you would find me out getting to know new places, meeting new people, trying out new food, or watching tons of TV shows.

My work

I work in the Partnerships team of the Foundation, specifically for Wikipedia Zero in Latin America. I'm part of the Policy Team for the program, involved in the policy and legal implications around the deployment of Wikipedia Zero, and its global growth.
