Legal Counsel, Wikimedia Foundation

About me

I joined the Wikimedia Foundation as Legal Counsel in April 2015. Prior to Wikimedia, I was an associate at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher where I gained experience on a variety of litigation and transactional issues with a focus on the technology space.

I attended Columbia Law School where I held internships at the FCC, the United Nations, and the New York State Attorney General's Office. During law school, I also spent a semester studying Chinese law at Peking University in Beijing. Prior to law school, I was a software engineer at Salesforce.com and double majored in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS) and Bioengineering at UC Berkeley.

In my spare time, I like to travel, hike, and search for the perfect bowl of poutine.

My work

As Legal Counsel, my focus is providing support for products and features at the Foundation. In addition, I work on a wide range of other legal and policy issues with the whole Wikimedia legal team.
