Maciej Artur Nadzikiewicz is an editor, organizer, and activist. Since he first began editing Wikipedia in 2016, he has made hundreds of thousands of contributions to the Wikimedia projects and held several administrative roles as a volunteer editor.
Between 2020 and 2022, Maciej served on the Wikimedia Poland Governance Board, where he oversaw educational programmes and operations. He also served as a Polish Wikipedia administrator from 2020 to 2024 and as a Board member and Secretary for Wikimedia Europe from 2022 to 2024. Most recently, Maciej was the main organiser of Wikimania 2024, which took place in his home country of Poland.
Maciej graduated from the University of Warsaw with a degree in Management, specialising in non-profit governance and public administration. During his studies, he was a member of the Senate of the Republic of Poland’s Spatial Development Committee and the University of Warsaw Disciplinary Committee. He earned his Master’s Degree in International Economics and Social Impact at Utrecht University.
Forbes magazine listed Maciej as “25 Under 25” in 2018 and “30 Under 30” in 2024. Since 2023, Maciej has been a member of the Working Group on Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Disruptive Technologies at the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs. He joined the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees in December 2024 as its youngest member.
